We loved great staff and location. The room was non-smoking with comfortable beds. The bathroom was excellent.

It is a fairly large facility. The pool is very large and located in the courtyard. The rooms are large and pleasantly decorated. The location, more or less directly in front of the Vicksburg National Military Park, is very convenient.

Dealing with problems could be better solved. We booked a non-smoking room and theoretically received it. However, when you entered, you noticed immediately that people were smoking here. After complaining to the reception, we were involved in a discussion that I consider unnecessary. At the end (after about 10 minutes) we were given a new room. This was flawless. We had a similar discussion with another guest. The customer is not right here, as is often the case.

Actually only the location. We visited the Military Park next door, so it's a really short way. Well, and the packaging with the cannons and stuff is pretty nice. . We also probably didn't bring any bugs or other parasites and diseases home with us :). And the courtyard was actually pretty. Just as the entire system actually made a very nice impression. At least earlier.

Unfortunately, pretty much everything. The hotel or room was pretty bad. The (laminate) floor in the room was badly damaged, mold was present in the wet area, the metallic objects (e.g. storage for toilet paper) partially rusted. . Because of the very large black spots in the tub, we only wanted to take a shower with our flip-flops. In addition, the large tap could not be turned off when showering - it ran parallel to the shower head, which flooded the tub. In addition, boiling water came out "down" and "up" only lukewarm. It was difficult to sleep relaxed, because the stains on the duvet covers (which also didn't fit completely around the mattresses) and the mattresses (which you could see) made you go to bed rather suspiciously. Pool area was (of course) closed. At some point someone took a lot of money in hand to build this motel modern, fresh, pretty and in a prime location. It even had its own mini golf course. Because at some point the entire facility was simply no longer maintained.

The hotel was very below standard considering all the reviews on booking . com. The rooms were dirty and the bed linen had not been changed from the previous guests. We had to be moved from our original room due to not being able to lock the door. The hotel was advertised with breakfast however this only consisted of a bread roll and cereal but no milk or jam. When we complained about the room the receptionists was sympathetic but did not resolve this issue.

    It accepts pets.

The motel in one word is rundown. There are water stains and mildew on the ceilings. Our room did not have electricity to the bathroom area. The refrigerator defrosted because of that and water was all over the place. Maid service was very poor. The breakfast was not very good. The room needed to be vacuumed and fumigated for fleas and ticks. The bathroom had mildew in it. The tub had mildew on the floor. The knobs on the tub leaked when the water ran. We did not have a bath mat. The side of the tub was cracked.

    Not much to like.

Room a/c was off when we arrived at 9 pm. Sat in lobby for more than an hour till room cooled enough to be in it. Was early morning before it cooled to a comfortable temp. Carpets were worn and dirty and the heavy caulking in the bathroom had mold bleeding through.I Read some of the reviews online and really should have heeded their warnings. Don't, don't, don't be persuaded by the price. Pay more and hopefully you won't have to worry about what might come out at night.

Breakfast was ok and the staff was nice and gave good info about restaurants and locations, and such. The beds were comfortable. Room was on ground floor.

Our room was located on the backside of the hotel where we found trash here and there next to the concrete sidewalk, all the way down the walk. This upset us very much and from there our opinion went downhill. No guest should find a dead cockroach belly-up on the bathroom floor, but we did. The cockroach chinched our belife that The Battlefield Inn was a dump, so we barricaded the door in case there were any drug-dealers or drunks because some of the other guests looked questionable. The pillows were kinda hard and the decor, hardware, and bedding needed to be updated. The pool was not kept up and had leaves floating in it and the air-conditioning was loud. All in all, The Battlefield Inn was not a pleasant stay and we would not recommend it to anyone

    Very good

My wife and I have stayed here many times. One of the highlights is the cocktails in the evenings. But not this time. The bartender was 15 minutes late, another 5 minutes to set up. I ordered bloody marys, was told "Not today, no mix". I ordered Canadian whiskey."Don't have any". We settled for white wine, the worst I have ever tasted. We will be going thru Vicksburg again in the future, but will not stay at the Battlefield Inn. The room and front desk were acceptable. Cliff Estes 29 June 2012

The carpet was stained and the mattress appeared old. The overall look of the hotel was dated.

The outside and the lobby looked fine, until we checked in. The pictures and memorabilia were interesting.

The room was shabby, toilet dirty, carpets stained. When I asked for a remote for the tv, it took 2 hours to get it. After midnight, the desk clerk had either allowed someone else to put shoes (or something else very noisy) in the dryer in the laundry right across from our room. About 12:30 I dressed, and went to the desk about the racket. The desk clerk said, "Do you want to change rooms? I'll put you up stairs where no one else is." About 1 A.M. we got settled. If there were so many empty rooms, why did they put us in the pit across from the laundry? Oh, and going up stairs looked as though we were in an intercity slum, with slimy stuff across part of the floor, and again stained carpets. This is the worst accommodation I have ever experienced anywhere! It was a real disappointment, and not at all worth the $69.00 + 10% tax. I probably will never use this company again to make hotel reservations.
